I’m Christopher Fry, an Associate Broker with REMAX Alliance. I’ve been licensed since 2014 and have helped clients buy and sell more than 170 homes across Northern Colorado, including Milliken. Here’s what I tell buyers and sellers who are considering Milliken.
These figures come from active MLS listings on October 28, 2026, covering single-family homes, townhomes and condos with a Milliken address. Milliken is a small market, with about 45 active listings, so figures can change quickly.
| Price range | Share of active Milliken listings | What you typically find |
|---|---|---|
| Under $500,000 | More than half | Single-family homes from the late 1990s through the 2010s, plus townhomes |
| $500,000 to $750,000 | About 1 in 4 | Newer and larger homes, including new construction in Sunfield |
| Over $750,000 | About 1 in 5 | Larger custom homes, estate lots and rural properties |

Milliken was incorporated in 1910 and is named for Judge John D. Milliken. It grew up as a railroad town and calls itself “The Hub of Northern Colorado” for its central location between Greeley, Loveland, Johnstown and Longmont. The town had about 8,400 residents in the 2020 Census.
Milliken’s downtown has the town offices, local businesses and a few restaurants, and the historic Daniels School, built in 1911, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Shopping and jobs in Johnstown, Greeley and Loveland are a short drive away.
One of Milliken’s larger neighborhoods, with single-family homes and townhomes from the 2000s and 2010s, many listed under $500,000.
Homes built mostly in the early 2000s, with three- and four-bedroom layouts and finished basements at some of the area’s more affordable prices.
Milliken’s main newer community, with homes from about 2020 on and new construction still underway.
Smaller neighborhoods with a mix of 2000s and newer homes, close to the center of town.
Larger custom homes on bigger lots, many listed over $1 million, for buyers who want space close to town.
Properties outside town, such as Wildcat Acres, offer more land. Check well, septic, water rights and county zoning carefully.
Milliken is served by Weld RE-5J School District, which also serves Johnstown. Schools in town include Milliken Elementary, Milliken Middle School and Knowledge Quest Academy, and high school students attend Roosevelt High School in Johnstown. Always confirm the assigned schools for a specific address with the district.
Milliken is in Weld County, so property taxes follow Weld County mill levies, but the total still varies by neighborhood. Some newer communities are in metro districts that add to the tax bill, and many neighborhoods have HOAs with very different dues and rules. Water and other utility providers can also vary. I pull the actual tax record, HOA documents and utility providers for every home before you write an offer. Learn more in metro districts and HOAs in Northern Colorado.
| From Milliken to | Typical drive |

| Johnstown | About 10 minutes |
| Greeley | About 20 to 25 minutes |
| Loveland | About 20 to 25 minutes |
| Windsor | About 20 to 25 minutes |
| Downtown Denver | About 1 hour |
Approximate drive times without heavy traffic; your time depends on which side of Milliken you live on.
In late October 2026, active Milliken listings averaged about $605,000, or roughly $265 per square foot. More than half were listed under $500,000, and about 1 in 5 were over $750,000. Ask for a current sold-price analysis for the neighborhood you’re considering.
Milliken is in Weld RE-5J, the same district as Johnstown. Schools in town include Milliken Elementary, Milliken Middle School and Knowledge Quest Academy, and high school students attend Roosevelt High School in Johnstown. They’re similar. In October 2026, Milliken listings averaged about $265 per square foot, compared with about $260 in Johnstown, and more than half of listings in both towns were under $500,000. Johnstown has far more new construction. See my Johnstown real estate guide to compare.
A little. In October 2026, only a few Milliken listings were new construction, mostly in Sunfield. Most homes for sale in town are resales built from the late 1990s on.
Many neighborhoods have HOAs, and some newer ones are in metro districts that add to the property tax bill. I pull the HOA documents and the full tax record for every home before you write an offer.
Greeley and Loveland are each about 15 miles away, roughly 20 to 25 minutes by car, and Milliken is about 48 miles north of Denver, roughly an hour’s drive depending on traffic.
Whether you’re buying your first home, moving up or selling, I’ll help you compare neighborhoods, HOA and tax costs, and true monthly payments before you commit.
